    AIR FREIGHT

At sea and in the air… the post-CNY air freight recovery remains particularly difficult.

In China, the recovery is surprisingly slow: the number of flights from Asia remains lower than in the pre-CNY period.

Despite this, the TAC Index shows that average prices remain relatively stable, with the drop in demand being offset by the reduction in the number of flights.

    SEA FREIGHT

The drop in rates that began a month ago is confirmed as activity struggles to restart after the Chinese New Year.

The Shanghai Containerized Freight Index (SCFI) spot index is down 36% from the pre-Chinese New Year peak.

At the same time, prices on transpacific and Asia-Europe routes recorded drops of around 18%.
